Let’s learn how to accurately mix half bags of thinset.
Thin-sets today require accurate measurements of water. The days of just visually looking at a thinset mixture is over. Why, you ask? Too much science involved! Thinsets today are way more advanced and will last and work much better if you mix proper amounts of water to mixture For setting membranes like Schluter Kerdi & Ditra, the wettest ratio of mixture is important for a fully bonded install.
Schluter All-set mixture ratios: For membranes: 7.5 - 8.5 quarts of water per bag For setting tile: 5.5 - 6.5 quarts of water per bag https://www.schluter.com/schluter-us/...
