How many of you own an older home (1950s and lower)? And how many of you have basements in these older homes? Final question: Is your basement scary?
It’s not uncommon to have an older home with the scariest, dankest, insect-dwelling basement. I’ve lived in quite a few of them myself. I’m here to let you know that there is a way to fix the space up without having to spend a ton of money. You don’t have to have a perfectly finished basement to have a nice home. Just having a basement that is cleaned up and brightened up can make all the difference in the world.
Also, if you're selling your home, you definitely want to address that scary basement. There's nothing worse than having home buyers get overwhelmed by a scary looking basement.
