Hello, students!
When it comes to white grout I’m very cautious with what I use. I've seen too many past projects that have not held up to daily use. Epoxy grout so far has been the best grout to use when it comes to white grout.
In this video, I highlight 5 key points on using an epoxy grout.
#1 Extract every bit of Part A & B into mixing bucket (this makes a huge difference with the mixture and consistency of the grout)
#2 Preserve remaining grout after packing joints (Form a ball, wrap in plastic, you only get one shot at this; you'll need it to touch-up any low spots or holes when cleaning)
#3 Timing is everything (finger test every 10 minutes after setting; if you can mold the joint and not pull grout out of joint, your good to go for initial wash 👍)
#4 Use microfiber clothes to wipe off excess water after tooling joints with a sponge (this will help eliminate stubborn grout haze from forming on tile)
#5 Couple hours after cleaning use Windex with vinegar to wipe down all tile (this will remove any additional haze off tile👍)
