Hey students!

I remember when I first decided to work exclusively on bathrooms. It was 2008, and my now wife and I had just purchased and renovated our first home together in the Northside of Pittsburgh. After we finished that massive project, I decided to make a career pivot and exclusively work on bathrooms, specifically aiming for the high-end bathrooms.

I was turning 30, and I was still learning a lot about tile work. It was my dream to be able to do something like an arched niche in a bathroom. And now here I am… showing you guys how to do it yourselves!!! Talk about a full circle moment.

I’m telling you this because I’m just a regular guy who had big goals, and I made them happen. I fully believe that you can do that too. What’s even better is that I can help you out and share my knowledge with you.

An arched niche is a beautiful design feature to add to a bathroom that basically has zero architectural interest. I did this for a client last year, and the end result was near perfect.

In this video, I begin with a completely blank slate. Like, a “bare-bones-to-the-studs” slate. The arch is a custom design I made, and I show you my process from the beginning…
