I've been recommending Hansgrohe shower faucets for quite some time now. This German manufacturer has developed a few price competitive, multi-function showers systems that are superior to other brands for a number of reasons.
I think one of the biggest reason I'm a fan is the ease of securing and waterproofing around the rough-in valve.
I also like that the multi-function selections are in one valve body.
The S-series has two handles. The larger handle adjusts the temperature and top selects the function.
Probably the most important feature of any shower is how great the shower actually functions. Most of the Hansgrohe shower heads and handhelds are rated at 2.5 gallons per minute. This is a fairly standard rate, but the technology put into these shower heads makes a world of difference. They call it Air power. Air is infused into water at output and gives a fuller feeling shower. The S-series is multi-function too: Rain, balanced/whirl (massage) Here's a short video of how it works:
Another great model that I've installed a few of is the Hansgrohe Raindance.
I love the exposed piping look! It can really give the "Wow" factor to your shower. These models come with either a 7" or 10" raindance shower head.
The last reason for my recommendation for these shower systems is the customer service and quick help to any problems. Hansgrohe has been around for more than a century and is the largest shower head and handheld manufacturer in the world. I have confidence (unlike many big box store brands and models) that these faucets are built to last and will have replacement parts available for some time to come. #bathroomremodelingteacher #stevewhite
