We often talk about the many ways you can go about waterproofing a shower tub surround area. Some of the methods are easy, some are expensive, and some are just PAINFUL.
My go-to waterproofing method is using Go-Board. It’s easy and very affordable. But, you don’t want to have just ONE option for waterproofing, especially nowadays, with so many construction products being out of stock. So, allow me to introduce you to the installation of the sheet membrane method— specifically, the Schluter Kerdi membrane.
Don't get me wrong, I love Schluter and use a lot of their products...but using Kerdi, or ANY sheet membrane for that matter, for shower wall waterproofing is no fun at all.
